Europe is the only country where artificial food or coloring is banned and if someone decided to use it, it should be mentioned on the packet that this ingredient is harmful to consume. It’s present in the packaged lemonade, fruit rolls, bakery goods and even in your yogurt.

These food manufacturers write on the ingredient label that artificial food dyes or artificial food flavouring are added. Yet most consumers don’t seem to be worried about it because a lot of people don’t really know what these artificial dyes or flavors are made of and how they are actually harming our health. It’s because most of us don’t even know what are the health risks or side-effects of consuming this food flavouring and dyes. These food dyes have no nutrition values, they are basically used for aesthetic purposes.

How colors affect our health.

Search shows on animals, every color contains its own harmful effects. These colors affect your health a lot. Every color contains their own harmful diseases like red color dyes can provide thyroid tumor show in rats, blue dyes can cause brain and bladder tumors in rats. Although these studies are done on animals, that’s why artificial food is so controversial. Artificial colors cause hyperactivity in children.

If artificial food coloring is so harmful then why not use natural food coloring ?

The reason why manufacturers use artificial food coloring instead of natural food coloring is because artificial food dyes are very cheap which can save a company millions. so why will they provide more expensive colors by using natural coloring when artificial food dyes can save millions. There is a rule in business studies that knows moral ethics which is definitely not followed by these companies. At the end it’s our duty to provide yourself a healthy lifestyle by knowing what to consume and what to not.

Food coloring is not just present on the packet food but it’s literally present in everything we consume like in a restaurant so the food not only looks good but also tastes even better without spending much on the ingredients. It’s even present on the food which is beyond your imagination.

Common foods which suppose to be healthy but contains coloring and flavouring are as followed:-

  • Fruits. Many farmers inject artificial coloring in fruits to make them more attractive.
  • Dal or lentils. Lentils are polished with food coloring.
  • Vegetables.
  • Sweets also contain dyes.
  • Spices are mixed with artificial dyes.
  • Medicines and supplements.
  • Yogurt and dairy products.
